Peace was “in” in the 90s, too, and at the 90s Bash at the Prep.

You just had to be there to experience the totally awesome ‘90s Bash on Jan. 31.

Sophomores, juniors, and seniors of Passaic Preparatory Academy traveled back in time to experience the food, music, and activities of the 1990s.

Students came dressed in ‘90s attire, most notably in jeans, overalls and jean jackets, which added a real feel of the ‘90s. Students ate pizza, Hot Pockets, and Lunchables. They also enjoyed Ring Pops and Fruit by the Foot.

Accompanied by some dope ‘90s tracks, students danced the night away. Songs such as “Cha-Cha Slide,” “I Want It That Way,”  and “Wannabe” had students on their feet. Music was provided by sophomore Sherlyn Cuamani, aka DJ S.V.C. Games such as Twister and Sorry were provided and many of those in attendance participated.

Those who were not interested in either took to the chit-chat corner to communicate amongst themselves.  All students were given the opportunity to draw on and design records. At the end of the night, students took their masterpieces home and picked up any leftover records to listen to or add to their collection.

Senior Class Advisor Mrs. Bang and Senior Class President Aralis Rodriguez brought their Polaroid cameras and documented the event in full. The ‘90s Bash was an event to remember; students did nothing but smile and bond throughout the evening.
