Prep held its 3rd annual Cocoa and Cookies event on Friday, Dec. 12 in the Media Center. The event was run by Ms. Reyes, Ms. Lauricella, Ms. Crocco, Ms. Breskic, Ms. Aquino, Mr. Vasquez, Ms. Mordaga, Ms. Martin, Ms. Sano, and Ms. Shafrin with the help of the Spanish Honor Society. There were about 100 families at the event! Students brought their families and enjoyed hot chocolate and cookies with activities either in the morning or the afternoon depending on what session the student chose. Families spent time with their kids or siblings and had fun with the activities.
After a friendly competition building gingerbread houses, families voted for their favorite house – though they weren’t allowed to vote for their own. After voting, families took photos in front of a backdrop and waited for a couple minutes to see who was the winner. First and second place received prizes.
After the event, families took their houses home and students went back to class after the morning session or left with their parents after the afternoon session.
