Nelsie Abreu is a senior at Prep and President of Student Council! Nelsie is an inspiring soul and is full of life. She was kind enough to lend us some of her free time to answer some questions.
The Boulevard Online: What is your dream after high school?
Nelsie Abreu: My dream after high school is to go into the medical field and become a pediatric surgeon. However, I am also in between becoming a dental hygienist.
TBO: What is your favorite dessert?
Nelsie Abreu: I don’t think I can only provide one answer to this question! I truly love ice cream cake from Carvel or the fruit cake that my aunt makes.
TBO: What is your favorite quote?
Nelsie Abreu: My favorite quote is, “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11
TBO: Describe yourself in one word?
Nelsie Abreu: Compassionate.
TBO: What does being Student Council President mean to you?
Nelsie Abreu: Being Student Council President means taking an opportunity to make changes that all students agree on. I am aware that many students are not as vocal as others, but by being compassionate and becoming an active listener to the concerns of the student body, I am a voice for all of the students here at Prep.
TBO: What are you most excited for this school year?
Nelsie Abreu: I am most excited for the positive initiatives the Student Council and I will create!
TBO: What are you inspired to become?
Nelsie Abreu: I am inspired to become an active listener and compassionate person who serves those around her.
