COLLEGE ACCEPTANCE ACADEMY

Meets: Every Tuesday morning and Wednesday afternoon in Room 208
Summary: Get into the college of your dreams! Learn more about college applications, essay-writing, recommendations, and more. We also practice for the SAT. Run by Mr. Tereshko every Tuesday morning and Wednesday afternoon, you will get help pursuing your future!
ENVIRONMENTAL CLUB

Summary: If you love plants and nature, then you should join the school’s Environmental Club! Take care of plants, grow your own vegetables and more. Run by Ms. Zanabria, Mr. Ford and Ms. Montoya, tend to Prep’s growing gardens and spend time outside.
GAY-STRAIGHT ALLIANCE
Advisor: Ms. Crocco
Meets: Every other Wednesday in Room 209
Summary: The GSA is a student-led club that creates a safe, supportive, and inclusive space for LGBTQ+ students and their allies. The aim is to promote respect, understanding, and equality by building a community that encourages open conversations about identity, acceptance, and belonging within the school.

JOURNALISM CLUB

Meets: Every other Tuesday in Room 107
Summary: Report the news to everyone at Prep through theboulevard252.org. Take pictures and video or write profiles. Join the Journalism Club and be the eyes and ears of Passaic Prep!
JUNIOR OPTIMIST CLUB

Summary: The Jr. Optimist Club is a youth leadership and service organization that helps develop leadership skills, practice good citizenship, and positively impact the community through service projects and teamwork.
MODERN BAND
Advisor: Mr. Perez
Meets: Every Wednesday after school
Summary: Explore Modern Band instruments in a low-pressure, self-paced environment to wind down from the stresses of the day and/or explore your creativity. Established bands can set up a rehearsal appointment for Mondays after school and on a case-by-case basis before school.
NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY
Advisor: Mr. Tereshko
Meets: Every other Thursday morning
Summary: Students with a 3.7 GPA or higher in grades 10-12 are invited annually to apply to this prestigious organization of the most exemplary students in the country. To be accepted and remain a member, students must demonstrate the four pillars of the NHS: scholarship, service, leadership, character.
PASSAIC DANCE COLLECTIVE
Advisors: Ms. Fraser, Ms. Zanabria, Ms. Kuscinko
Meets: Tuesday-Thursday, Saturdays
Summary: The Passaic Dance Collective is a competitive dance team that performs and competes at regional and national events throughout the year. It is designed for dancers who want additional performance opportunities, are willing to challenge themselves, and successfully audition to be part of the Collective.
SPANISH NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY
Advisors: Ms. Reyes, Ms. Mordaga
Meets: Every third Friday
Summary: Recognizes students for high academic achievement in Spanish and promotes continued interest in Hispanic language, culture, leadership, and service. Has eligibility requirements based on grades and behavior and includes a service requirement. Partners with the Parent Committee to host major events such as Cocoa & Cookies and Donuts with Grown-Ups, and plans an additional community event in late February to promote family engagement and service.

Summary: If you are interested in being a leader, want to make a difference, or just have new ideas to improve our community, Student Council the right club for you. Student Council provides a lot of benefits: leadership, friendships, and even senior scholarships.

Summary: If you are one for drama and love acting, then you should join Prep’s Drama Club. A club filled with like-minded people who enjoy performing, you are able to have fun with friends and take part in performances. Run by Ms. Morinho, this is the place for drama.
YEARBOOK CLUB

Meets: Wednesdays starting in January
Summary: This club mainly focuses on making the yearbook for the school year, with a focus on allowing students to express their creativity. The club holds an annual contest to see which Prep student can design the cover.
