Passaic girls wrestling excels at two tournaments behind Prep stars
The Passaic girls wrestling team is coming off of an impressive weekend which featured Maria Perez coming in first at the Garfield Tournament. Passaic was all over the scoreboard in both the Garfield and Bloomfield tournaments. Maria also came in third in the Bloomfield Tournament.
Passaic wrestlers snagged third and fourth places in the Garfield Tournament behind Quetzalee Grande and Milagros Lozano, respectively. Jade Cruz Torres and Celine Lantigua also won matches at the tournament.
In the prestigious Bloomfield Tournament, Jade came in fifth and Celine won two matches. Milagros, Joselyn Mendieta, and Chelsie DeDios also each won a match for Passaic, coached by Prep’s Mr. Lightfoot.
