Student Spotlight: Ashley Arriaga, Student Council Secretary/Treasurer

Ashley Arriaga, a junior at Prep and the Secretary/Treasurer of the Student Council, is an inspiring student, a hard-working classmate who loves to make friends and a role model to follow. She sat with The Boulevard Online to give us a sneak peak into her life.

The Boulevard Online: What are some activities/hobbies you like to do out of school?

Ashley: I really like playing volleyball but I also like dancing and also I like to join a lot of community service. I’m currently in the Passaic Youth Council and that allows me to give out service to the city, so community service it is.

TBO: What are you most proud of being Secretary/Treasurer?

A: One of the things that is really hard for me is to do my work on time because I procrastinate a lot, so being secretary and treasurer has really made me know that being organized and being on time is something I should really prioritize in my life, and so I think that is one of the biggest accomplishments I have done.

TBO: What is your favorite type of music to listen to?

A: K-Pop, or I really like Latin music, especially Bad Bunny.

TBO: If you won the lottery, what would be the first thing you would spend it on?

A: I would probably donate half and the other I would save for college!

TBO: If you could travel anywhere, where would you go?

A: I would go to South Korea or just a country in Asia. Asian culture is so different from the culture that I am used to. But also I have seen so many videos of Asian culture and it’s just so cool and amazing the things that they do.

TBO: What do you do in your free time?

A: I watch Netflix when I have a lot of free time on my hands. But when I don’t I just start doing work from school or outside organizations. Not only that but I love listening to music, so when I’m really stressed I just play music and I do that the whole time I have free time.
