Dance students host holiday concert at home
Remote learning doesn’t stop the Prep Dance Pathway
With remote learning and strict social distancing measures still in place, Ms. Fraser, the dance teacher at Passaic Preparatory Academy, had to get creative on how her students could participate in their first holiday performance.
Each dance class had the chance to choose which holiday song they wanted to dance to. The set list consists of some holiday classics, such as “Let it Snow” by Dean Martin, “Jingle Bells” by Michael Buble, “Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree” by Brenda Lee and a more recent holiday jingle, “Santa Tell Me” by Ariana Grande.
“It felt as if we made an actual performance, and something that the rest of our school would enjoy to watch,” said Ms. Fraser.
Aside from the choreography created by Ms. Fraser, students also had a chance to create their own choreography and dance to their own solos!
On behalf of Ms. Fraser and all her dance students, they wish everyone Happy Holidays and hope that you enjoy their performance!
