Thanks to Ms. Sosa’s Heritage Cowboy Hat Project, Spanish students will be able to learn about the culture of their ancestors and understand the correct grammar and conjugation of the verbs in the present tense when describing nouns, as well as learning the past tense — writing the presentation in the past tens. In addition to building a Google Slides deck, students decorated cowboy hats with the flag of their ancestors; Mexico, the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico and Peru were among the many countries represented. Watch the video, above, to see the exciting results!
Students will expand their knowledge of Spanish and learn about the rich culture and lifestyle of a Spanish-speaking country or place. Students will share their information with the class through an oral and creative presentation.
