Passaic Prep students placed third overall, and two students won their levels as the District of Passaic Chess Tournament on June 13.

Prep freshman Randy Munoz won the Intermediate division, while freshman Jonathan Martinez won the Beginner tournament.

Also competing in the tournament for Prep were freshman Hector Cervantes, junior Eric Tepale, freshman Brandon Ruiz, freshman Dulce Gil Hernandez, freshman Daisy Ramirez and freshman Jerick Pena Marte.
