Once more, local dress stores, suit stores and tailors are busy with work as Prep marks the end of another high school chapter with Prom, 2022.

The Senior Prom, 2022, is set for Wednesday, June 8, at Legacy Castle in Pompton Plains. Amid rising COVID-19 cases and a mask mandate being put back in effect across the City of Passaic School District, Prom will still run as planned with necessary precautions put in place to avoid COVID-19 exposure.

Aaliyeh Chavez, a senior at Prep, said, “It’s a little awkward, but if everyone follows guidelines it will be fine.” 

Prom in Paris will allow seniors and their guests to attend from all three high schools in Passaic: Passaic High, Passaic Academy for Science and Engineering (PASE) and Passaic Preparatory Academy. 

“Prom is an opportunity to celebrate the end of high school and their new beginning,” said Ms. Fontalvo, student counselor and the Senior Class Advisor at Prep.

“Prom in Passaic also means that all three high schools come together, and students can mingle with their fellow class of 2022 friends that they don’t get to see on a daily basis,” said Ms. Taylor.

“I’m looking forward to prom! I feel like prom is important for seniors because it’s an experience you don’t wanna miss!” said senior Adamarys Maravilla.
