Prep 7th-grader Rachel Perez has won a brand-new bike in a safety poster competition!
Middle School participants were challenged to create an illustration showing the “do’s and don’ts” of safe bicycle riding. For her winning entry, Rachel focused on essential rules of the road, such as following traffic signals, looking both ways before crossing, wearing bright or reflective clothing, and making eye contact with drivers. Through her artwork she hopes to inspire others to follow traffic laws and stay safe whenever they are on a bike.
The bicycle was delivered to Prep on Wednesday, June 10. See the winning poster, below.
