This ceremony was all about the 8th-graders, who will hopefully be Prep freshmen in September.
On Friday, March 13, Prep held a ceremony in the Media Center for 8th-graders who have earned automatic acceptance to Prep for the next school year.
Principal Bruce, Ms. Lauricella, Mr. Vargas and Prep staff helped organize and congratulate the 8th-graders. In addition, Mr. Koularmanis and Ms. Reyes spoke to the students and parents, congratulating them for all their hard work. Prep senior Dulce Maria Gil Hernandez made a speech about her high school experience and how she is grateful for coming to Prep for her high school years, encouraging the 8th-graders to choose Prep as they enter high school. The 8th-graders signed their name and took pictures with their parents and Ms. Bruce, then received gift bags with Prep merchandise. Ms. Bruce encouraged students to make their decision soon, as their place could go to another student if they wait to decide for a long time.
The 8th-graders took a group photo and had breakfast with their parents before going to Period 3. Congratulations to the 8th-graders for getting accepted into Prep for their high school years!
