“Groove of Love” is the theme for the Valentine’s Day dance, and the student body at Prep chose tacos as the main dish!
Here’s everything you need to know:
WHAT: Valentine’s Day Dance
WHEN: Friday, Feb. 20
WHO: Middle School 2-4 p.m., High School 5-8 p.m.
WHERE: Prep gym
HOW/WHY: Sponsored by the Student Council and Passaic Dance Collective
WHAT ELSE? Students voted on the theme and food. They chose “Groove of Love” as the theme and tacos as the main food. There will be food, beverages, and dessert as well as fun events including a photobooth, DJs, bands, etc. Tickets cost $10 and will be on sale each morning by the main entrance.
WHAT THEY’RE SAYING: “I feel like a school dance, it’s a way to recreate with your friends when you don’t have a way to do it outside the school. And the school is allowing you to do it, you know, a place that you’re more comfortable with because sometimes you can’t go out with your friends because of your parents or all kinds of limitations. In a school dance, it’s always allowing you to do that with your friends, with music that you can enjoy or food that you can enjoy with your friends at all times.” — Prep junior Yadier Perez
