With Ms. Blumberg leaving Prep soon on maternity leave, the Physics Club will not come back this year but will return next year. The Physics Club has to do with engineering design and physics. They also have competitions that take place in January. The club also went to Six Flags to do their egg drop challenge, which was one of the many things they have done in the club. The Boulevard Online asked a few questions of Ms. Blumberg, who runs the club, and three seniors who are members:
The Boulevard Online: Why is the Physics Club not returning this year? How do you feel about it?
Ms. Blumberg: Physics Club will not be returning this year because I will be going on maternity leave starting in December until the end of the year. Since the Physics Olympics, our major competition, takes place in January, it wouldn’t be possible for me to advise the club this year.

TBO: What can we expect for next year?
Ms. Blumberg: The Physics Club is an awesome opportunity for students to do engineering design and physics outside the classroom in a fun environment. I am proud that the club has gotten more popular each year. So, while I am sorry that students won’t have this opportunity this year, it is for a good reason. Physics Club will return next year!
TBO: Students, how do you feel about the Physics Club not returning this year?
Yorniel Jimenez: I feel upset because I won’t be able to have fun with my friends after school while doing the projects. I won’t be able to go to Six Flags for free as well.
Luis Leon-Reyes: I feel stressed and upset because going to a club was fun and was an experience that I will remember during high school. When me and my friends would listen to Ms. Blumberg and Mr. Lockwood about our project.
Jeremy Varela- Martinez: I feel upset and betrayed, because why can’t we have a Physics Club this year with just one teacher? Cause I know it’s a rule to have two, but why can’t we have a field trip where we could just all be together and have fun either way? And if we had Mr. Lockwood I would be fine.

TBO: What was your favorite part of the Physics Club last year?
Yorniel Jimenez: Making fun projects and competing with other schools and also going to Six Flag in May and during our movie event, watching “Puss in Boots.”
Luis Leon- Reyes: Competing with other schools, creating a project and going to Six Flags.
Jeremy Varela-Martinez: My favorite part about Physics Club is that I worked on the projects with my friends and had a lot of fun and that we went to Six Flags and it was a lot of fun.
