Mr. Christopher Tereshko is an English 2 Honors, English 2, and AP Language and Composition teacher. He has taught at Prep for seven years now and graduated from Ursinus College in Pennsylvania. He is the loving father of two girls and a loving husband.
Mr. Tereshko recently sat down with The Boulevard Online:
The Boulevard Online: My first question for you is, when you were younger, what did you want to do or want to be?
Mr. Tereshko: I remember when in the 5th grade I wanted to be a priest. Moving into high school, I wanted to be an English teacher.
TBO: Wow, that’s really surprising. I just had assumed you’d always wanted to be an English teacher since you were young!
TBO: My second question for you is: What motivated you to become an English teacher?
Mr. Tereshko: I actually wanted to be a writer, but my mother convinced me to get a teaching certificate for a fallback, and once I began student-teaching, I fell in love.

TBO: Who is your favorite author; how did they influence your life?
Mr. Tereshko: Michael Crichton, author of “Jurassic Park,” which I read in 6th grade. It really sparked my love for fiction. I own most of his books. But John Steinbeck is my favorite author to teach.
TBO: What’s your favorite TV show?
Mr. Tereshko: I have many, but “Friday Night Lights.”
TBO: I’ve never heard of that one! But it sounds interesting.
Mr. Tereshko: It’s mostly about high school football and overcoming challenges. It’s a pretty good show.
TBO: What are you planning on dressing up for Halloween?
Mr. Tereshko: I plan to be Mr. Humdinger from “Paw Patrol,” with my kids, then, with my friends, I’ll dress up as Deadpool.
TBO: If you could have anyone play at the halftime show at the Super Bowl, who would it be and why?
Mr. Tereshko: Bad Bunny. I don’t know any of his songs, but I like the conversations that have come up because of his selection.
TBO: I agree, honestly, that’s been trending for the past few days.
TBO: What’s your favorite thing about Prep?
Mr. Tereshko: Everyone’s a good person. From the administration down to the students, everyone has their flaws and there can be daily inconveniences, but this is a building filled with 900 awesome human beings.
TBO: What are some plans you have for the National Honor Society?
Mr. Tereshko: We are doing this program for the district for schools which don’t have libraries and we will be bringing in books and reading to the little ones. We’ll also have two blood drives coming up which I’m pretty excited about.
TBO: I’ve always enjoyed the activities that the NHS does.
TBO: What is your favorite music genre? I know you’ve spoken about Pearl Jam before but I want to know if you have any other bands you’ve listened to.
Mr. Tereshko: I personally like 90’s/2000’s hard rock.
TBO: What’s your favorite vacation you’ve been on and your dream vacation?
Mr. Tereshko: My favorite vacation was actually my dream vacation, and it was my honeymoon to Greece.
TBO: Wow! Greece is awesome!
TBO: Well I think that’s a wrap! Thank you so much for answering these questions, we genuinely appreciate it so much, and thank you for your time!
Mr. Tereshko: You’re welcome.
