The Passaic girls soccer team opened its season against Passaic Valley at Boverini Stadium on Tuesday and went home with a victory.
Passaic kicked off the season by winning, 3-0, with two goals delivered by Brenda Cuacuil, who was absolutely fierce on the field. One was assisted by Prep’s Chastelyn Ruiz. With strong teamwork and a relentless drive, the Passaic girls managed to control the field from start to finish.
The team includes Prep students Ashley Reyes, Emelyn Aguilar, Kelly Velazquez and Chastelyn Ruiz. Reyes and Aguilar are captains along with Brenda Cuacuil and Chastelyn Aguilar.
The Passaic girls will face Passaic Tech (PCTI) on Thursday, Sept. 11.
