The Donuts with Grownups annual event is a highlight of the school year for some at Prep.
The event was held on Thursday, May 22 in the Media Center with a morning and afternoon session. Students brought in their parents or guardians, and while they ate donuts and had coffee and tea, they also talked and spent quality time together away from home.
About 134 people attended and consumed about 150 donuts, 150 cookies and plenty of coffee and tea! Students and parents completed events and crafts like making jewelry, playing games like Jenga, Uno, etc. Families filled out worksheets and played games that helped both parents and students understand each other outside of school and work.
The Prep Parent Committee came up with this idea in 2023 and it has been happening ever since.
