Did you know that Prep has a modern band? Mr. Perez, our band teacher, is the one who started the Drama Llamas. We have seen them perform during dances, concerts, and at many other events. The Llamas currently include:

The Boulevard Online sat down with Mr. Perez to ask questions about the Drama Llamas and figure out what are their plans for this school year.
The Boulevard Online: What are the Drama Llamas?
Mr. Perez: The Drama Llamas are a high school modern band for Prep. They started out in middle school and now they are a high school modern band.
TBO: Who came up with the name and why?
Mr. Perez: I came up with the name. In the original lineup, the people were very dramatic and very emo.
TBO: How frequently do you guys practice?
Mr. Perez: So they practice in the morning, they schedule it when we are close to performances.
TBO: How many gigs do you guys have so far?
Mr. Perez: They performed before like over 15. We have 10 performances this school year.
TBO: Future plans?
Mr. Perez: I have a relationship with “music will.” They are an organization that helps rock band programs in schools. I want them to perform during the summer and perform at outside venues and festivals.
