Ms. Morgan Johnston is leaving Prep!
Monday, June 24, will be Ms. Johnston’s last day before she moves on to continue her teaching career at Paramus High School. Ms. Johnston taught Algebra 1 to 7th- and 8th-graders throughout her five years at Prep. Before she leaves, The Boulevard Online wanted to ask her a few questions:
The Boulevard Online: What will you miss about Prep?
Johnston: I will miss the students. You are so kind, caring, hard-working, and funny.
TBO: What memories will you take with you?
Johnston: The memories I will remember is the year after teaching during quarantine, I taught the same group of students again. I felt like because we went through something difficult together it made learning in-person extra special.
TBO: Where are you going? And why?
Johnston: I will be teaching at Paramus High School. I have opportunities to teach engineering classes, which is what I am passionate about.
TBO: What will you expect from your new school?
Johnston: I’m optimistic that I will have a great experience. The people that I have met so far have been so kind. I am excited to apply what I learned from The College of New Jersey iSTEM program in my future classroom.
TBO: What do you want to say to the Prep community before you go?
Johnston: It is bittersweet to be leaving Prep. Thank you for showing me love. I will miss witnessing the confidence you exude when you get an answer right on a challenging math problem, playing cards with you, and watching you grow into incredible young adults. Continue making good choices!!
Ms. Johnston, students and staff will miss you! Below is a gallery of a few of your great moments at Prep. Good luck teaching at your new school. Prep will always be your family.
