“I was honestly enraged and heartbroken. It made me extremely mad because I saw the way these people were acting and nothing was being done to them. During the Black Lives Matter protests, people were getting hurt and the protest was fighting for human rights. And they received horrible treatment by the police. But when I saw the way these white people were acting and they received no form of mistreatment from the police, I was so mad. In my head I kept telling myself “Why aren’t they doing anything? Please do something.” It made me so upset to the point where I wanted to cry because it’s scary and horrible. This is happening and it’s real. I keep thinking that this is just the last flames of the fire Trump started, but I am absolutely scared to admit that perhaps this isn’t.”
