Passaic Prep to remain in Phase 1 through at least April 23 (Chelsea)

The City of Passaic Public Schools District started the school year of 2020-21 continuing full-time,  home-based instruction for students and staff.

There has currently been mention of reopening schools depending on any information that there is about Covid-19. The district will decide in March to move to Phase 2 or continue Phase 1. If  the district decides to enter Phase 2, students would enter April 26, 2021 for a one-session day on a once-per-week in-person schedule.

The Board of Education decision has continued in Phase 1 based on the information there is based on Covid-19, as well as hearing from the parents, staff and medical experts. The Board of Education held committee meetings in January to revise the precautions provided by their local health official and Hackensack Meridian Health Systems consultants. They had much input coming from the students’ parents after providing a survey that has helped come to these terms.
