Former First Lady Michelle Obama started the Reach Higher initiative/Better Make Room campaign to inspire students – particularly first-generation college students and students from low-income families – to go to college and complete higher education.
On June 1, Passaic Preparatory Academy followed that initiative by holding a College Signing Day to honor Prep’s seniors who will attend college in the fall. Students, staff and administrators all took part in the celebration, which was held online due to the coronavirus pandemic. There were video tributes, words of wisdom from a panel of teachers, and plenty of praise for the seniors who have made such a difference at Prep.
